A 30-year-old businessman and resident of Ambawadi was honey-trapped by a woman and forced to shell out Rs2.7 lakh. Rajendra Jain (30), a resident of Ambawadi, in his complaint accused Kavita Naik (30), a resident of Hometown-4, IOC Road, Chandkheda and her two friends Ramesh Suthar (28) and Bhavesh Dabhi (25) of extortion. Jain came in touch with Naik through the app Quack Quack and began to chat regularly. Kavita invited Jain home and the two chatted and had coffee. On July 28, she told Jain that her husband will be in Surat and she wanted to talk to him.Jain met Naik at her home on July 29 at around 12.30 PM and after some time she dragged him to her bedroom, disrobed and lured him into being intimate. Two men then entered the house and began to beat and abuse Jain. One of them identified himself as a lawyer and threatened Jain with a rape case. They snatched his phone and demanded Rs5 lakh from him. He was allowed to leave only after he transferred Rs2.7 lakh. When the lawyer again called demanding more money he filed a complaint with the Chandkheda police. Chandkheda PI V S Vanzara said all three accused have been arrested.PSI G V Chaudhary told Mirror that the woman is estranged from her husband and has been living in Suthar’s house. The two men are her friends from Rajasthan. The three don’t have a criminal history.
