Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) can now set up its campuses in and outside the state. This became possible after the Assembly unanimously passed the the National Law University (amendment) Bill 2022 in the State Assembly. Law Minister Rajendra Trivedi said this will help to increase GNLU’s ambit. The university leads in the field of law research and has been providing quality education for the last two decades.Nagarpalika normsThe state government has decided to do away with the system of inviting suggestions and objections from people regarding recruitment and service conditions in nagarpalikas to expedite hiring process.A Bill to this effect — Gujarat Nagarpalika (amendment) Bill 2022 — was passed unanimously in the state Assembly on Thursday.MoS Urban Development Vinod Moradiya said inviting suggestions and objections caused huge delays.
