A man, who was unhappy with his marriage and unable to bear his wife’s taunts, jumped into the Narmada canal along with his two sons on Tuesday.Vinod Thakor, a labourer, first hurled his younger son Aarav (4) into the canal and then jumped in with Rishabh (6). Bodies of all three were recovered from different locations.A team of swimmers first recovered the body of Aarav from the Narmada canal at Balisana on Tuesday. Thakor’s body was retrieved from the canal close to Shantigram at Adalaj, while that of Rishabh was recovered from Pirozpur, near Kadi canal.Before jumping into the canal, Thakor recorded a video and sent it to family members. In the video, he blamed his wife for being heartless. He further claimed that his wife told him his death won’t make a difference to her as she was doing well.In the video, his sons could be seen playing in the background. Thakor said he was trapped between three sisters and they were unable to do anything about the situation.He said everything is about luck as God does not will someone’s death in this manner. When he had called up in the evening she had laughed at him and told him that if he wants to live, he must live, but not indulge in drama, Thakor said in the video.Further, Thakor said people will continue to taunt them for their entire lives. He also added that he was sorry that he had to leave his mother alone.
